Puddle Poodles

Contracts are a regular part of responsible breeding. This protects both the breeder and the new handler, and (most importantly) it protects the puppies.  

We sell our puppies on the basis that their new handlers are able to enjoy every great experience that a having new puppy brings, but not at the expense of the puppy's wellbeing. When you buy a puppy from us, you agree that we get to stay a part of their lives. This is presented in a few different ways:  

1. We ensure that our puppies are not given to shelters or homes that are not safe for them. If, at any point, you no longer want your puppy, we will welcome them back in order to find them a new loving home for you.   

2. We ensure that our puppies are not bred irresponsibly. We don't believe that dogs should not be bred entirely (though it is a lot more work and stress than most people think and should be very carefully considered before attempting), but we do believe that breeding should only be done with the proper methods followed. There is a way to breed responsibly, and we want to encourage this in any way we can.  

3. We offer a 1-year genetic health guarantee. We stand by our dogs' health, and this means that if you discover any imperfections in the genetic health of our breeding stock, we want to know about it so that we can fix the problem. This situation would include no longer breeding said dogs, as well as providing you with multiple options for just compensation.  

So, how does this affect your ownership of the puppy? In short, it doesn't really. As long as the contract is followed and both parties are in agreement, you'll get to raise your new puppy as you would normally. We at Puddle Poodles want you to enjoy life with your new puppy, so this contract is set simply to protect everyone involved under the eyes of the law.
